Hundreds of paratroopers were planned to jump into Normandy on June 5 to commemorate their ancestors’ actions during WWII, but the plans have been cut reduced due to a lack of planes.
According to the Mail on Sunday, only one jet was available, but defense insiders said they hoped to find at least one more.
Defense Secretary Grant Shapps has requested an urgent examination of the matter, citing the necessity for additional military funding.
