According to Maria Caulfield, a conservative politician, “a number of” constituencies do not yet have their postal votes delivered to voters, as reported by News.
Following reports of thousands of postal ballots not arriving on time, Minister of Postal Affairs Kevin Hollinrake has called on Royal Mail “to do all they can” to ensure that voters receive their postal ballots on time.
According to The Telegraph, more than 90 constituencies—including those of cabinet ministers—have expressed worries regarding absentee ballots.
MI is aware that additional resources are being used in an effort to conduct a thorough inspection of every sorting office and ensure that they’re in it.
Ms. Caulfield said that people who have gotten a late postal vote and will be at home on Thursday, voting day, can bring it to their neighborhood polling place.
She did, however, express concern for individuals who are unable to vote because it is now too late to qualify for a proxy vote, in which case someone else may cast a ballot in your place.s “Kevin [Hollinrake] is taking this very seriously,” Caulfield stated to the News. He communicates directly with the Royal Mail.
