The charity received a notice on May 3rd, informing them that the foundation has been “listed as delinquent” for “failing to submit required annual report(s) and/or renewal fees”.
According to the letter, an organization that is flagged as delinquent may have its registration “suspended or revoked” and is prohibited from “soliciting or disbursing charitable funds”.
It is acknowledged that the Archewell Foundation sent a physical check, but it was not received. To fix the problem, a replacement check has been sent.
It’s thought that information was only disclosed to the charity after the delinquency notice was published.
The foundation anticipates that this will be rectified and reflected in records in seven business days, now that a fresh check has been posted.
