Fort Worth, Texas: The US government, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and a number of prison personnel are all parties to a comprehensive federal complaint brought by Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani neuroscientist presently serving an 86-year sentence at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas.
A copy of the comprehensive 61-page lawsuit, which was filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas about two months ago, was obtained by Geo News. It alleges that prison staff seriously violated her human and constitutional rights.
Sexual abuse, torture, denial of medical care, and discrimination based on religion are among the accusations.
Attorneys Naim Haroon Sakhia, Maria Kari, and Clive Stafford Smith prepared the complaint, which details Siddiqui’s claimed abuse in graphic detail.
