Washington: Reiterating its support for free and fair elections in Pakistan, the US says it has no affiliation with any political party in the nation.
In response to a query during Monday’s daily press briefing, State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller stated that the United States will keep interacting with the leaders of Pakistan who have been chosen by their fellow citizens.
According to the spokesperson, talks between the US and Pakistan are bilateral in nature and center on the latter’s support for the free and fair elections scheduled for February 8.
