Washington: According to the Pakistani Embassy in the US, US President Joe Biden has reiterated Washington’s support for Islamabad in addressing the most important regional and global issues of the day.
The announcement was made in conjunction with the president’s meeting at Blair House with recently appointed Pakistani ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, who was also joined by senior administration officials.
President Biden received the Letter of Credence from Ambassador Sheikh.
The president was cited by the embassy as saying: “The relationship between our two countries remains important for regional stability and security,” despite the White House not making a statement in this regard. We value Pakistani and American collaboration in thwarting terrorist threats.
