However, CJP Isa stated that it would not have been possible without the Sindh Building Control Authority’s (SBCA) assistance. He went on to say that the assets of SBCA personnel higher than the rank of inspector should be scrutinized.
“The FBR should also audit the assets of the Karachi sub-registry. The CJP stated that the residents of demolished buildings should get money from all assets that exceed their means. He also stated that the Sindh government will never conduct a probe into this.
On this issue, the SCBA’s director general appeared in court, and the CJP enquired about the department’s inspectors and officers.
The DG reminded the court that the SCBA now employs 1,400 people, out of which 600 are building inspectors and 300 are senior inspectors.
