The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has made the decision to recommence the process of selecting vice chancellors for the province’s twenty-five universities, which are presently functioning without permanent administration.
These universities are facing serious financial and administrative difficulties as a result of the vice chancellors’ absence.
To address the ongoing concerns, it was decided to reopen the vice chancellor appointment process in the most recent cabinet meeting. The choice entails creating a new search committee, posting job openings, holding interviews, and choosing qualified applicants. It is anticipated that this extensive process would take several months to finish.
The vice chancellors who have already been nominated will probably challenge the government’s ruling in court, fighting against the termination of the previous appointment procedure.
