In a tribute to Indian industrialist Ratan Tata, who departed away on Wednesday night, Pakistani musician Zoheb Hassan recalled how the businessman had asked him and his sister Nazia Hassan to create an album for his record label.
At the age of 86, Ratan, the former chairman of the Tata Group who brought a formal and expansive Indian conglomerate to the attention of the world through a series of high-profile acquisitions, passed away in Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital.
People from many walks of life expressed their sorrow upon hearing of his death. Zoheb Hassan, who together with his sister Nazia had a remarkable interaction with Tata, was among many who remembered him with fondness.
