Richard Cockerill, the head coach of Georgia, feels his team has “earned the right” to play Wales in a play-off to determine which country will qualify for the 2026 Six Nations.
After winning the second-tier Rugby Europe Championship for the eighth time in a row, the former England hooker believes Georgia is good enough to compete at the top level of Europe.
No wins Wales finished bottom of the Six Nations for the second year in a row and have not won a game since beating Georgia at the World Cup in 2023.
In the fall of 2022, they were defeated by Georgia in Cardiff.
