Serene Air has received a severe warning from the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA), which is advising the airline to restart operations of its grounded aircraft or face penalties, including the suspension of foreign flights.
Serene Air currently has four of its seven aircraft out of commission, which causes major schedule interruptions and discomfort for passengers.
The airline was given a show-cause notice and told to change its domestic travel schedule because of the fewer planes in operation, according to PCAA Director General Nadir Shafi Dar. He said the PCAA stepped in because of a rise in passenger complaints over flight delays.
