Details reveal that the arrest warrants were issued due to the use of derogatory words against the government. On September 24, the court ordered Sahil Nadeem to be presented.
An earlier resolution denouncing a social media influencer’s disparaging remarks about women on a recent private channel TV broadcast was filed to the Sindh Assembly Secretariat.
The resolution was sponsored by PPP MP Marvi Faseeh, who condemned Nadeem’s remarks for violating social, legal, and religious norms and for upsetting women greatly.
On the TV broadcast, Nadeem said that 95% of women in the nation were “jahil,” or uneducated. When a woman in the crowd challenged him on this, he became even more adamant.
Sahil Nadeem faced intense criticism for his handling of the situation, with several individuals, including attorney Jibran Nasir, criticizing him.
