The water corporation released a statement stating that work to fix leaks in the 48-inch main line will begin on June 22 at 8 a.m. and be finished by June 23 at 8 p.m.
Water delivery from the University Reservoir will be interrupted in District Central, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Scheme 33, and certain parts of Gulshan-e-Iqbal owing to repair work, according to the KWSC.
The KWSC advised the public to store water and use it wisely in this regard.
Protests about the lack of water and electricity broke out in several metropolitan neighborhoods on Thursday.
In order to impede traffic and set tires on fire, protesters organized a sit-in near Gulzar-e-Hijri Scheme 33 and North Karachi Power House Chowrangi. Along with that, they screamed anti-authority slogans.
