The sun is shining, and the atmosphere is festive, with his fellow marchers holding signs advocating for workers’ rights and fair wages.
Jason Wyatt, a steelworker from South Wales, was among the marchers. He’s here to shed light on what’s going on in his hometown of Port Talbot, where thousands of his coworkers are facing layoffs.
There is applause as Jason takes the stage.
“They are trying to destroy the livelihoods of 2,800 people,” he claims. “Port Talbot is the last bastion of heavy industry.
