After Eurostar’s services were disrupted due to the discovery of an unexploded bomb, a mother was left “gutted” when her five-year-old daughter Daisy’s Make-A-Wish trip to Disneyland Paris was canceled.
Toni Mannion, 38, stated that she had been “looking forward to making some special memories” but that she and her daughter, who has complicated needs, were unable to take alternate transportation to France.
On Friday afternoon, the World War Two bomb discovered close to Paris’s Gare du Nord station was defused, and commuters were advised to anticipate regular service on Saturday.
Simon Lejeune, chief safety and stations officer for Eurostar, expressed his sincere apologies for the inconvenience to travel.
