Arrest warrants have been issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and a prominent Hamas figure on allegations of crimes against humanity and war crimes.
An international court has indicted Netanyahu and other Israeli officials for the ongoing war in Gaza for the first time.
The ICC accused Netanyahu, Gallant, and Hamas leader Mohammed Deif of being responsible for Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attacks on Israel and the ensuing genocidal war in Gaza in a ruling that was made public online on Thursday. But in July, Israel said it had killed Deif. He may or may not still be alive.
