Residents of Karachi, one of the southernmost cities in the nation, continue to be vulnerable to severe heatwaves with fluctuating actual and “feels like” temperatures as the summer heat intensifies in the area.
The maximum actual temperature is expected to be between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius, but the feel-like temperature in the city is expected to vary between 40 and 42 degrees Celsius, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) earlier today.
The Met Office also stated that because there is more moisture in the air, the intense heat will be felt. While it will be “very hot” in the southern regions, the majority of the country will continue to have hot, dry weather this week.
