Mark Ruffalo talked candidly about his battle with a brain tumor.
The 56-year-old celebrity made an appearance for a conversation on the Smartless podcast on Tuesday.
The 13 Going on 30 actor talked about his experience with a brain tumor in this interview.
Mark said, “I had a brain tumor after You Can Count on Me became successful.”
He went on to say that around the age of thirty, he had a “crazy” dream that he had a brain tumor, which turned out to be real.
The Golden Globe winner was unable to inform his wife Coigney of the “unfortunate” news, though, as she was expecting their first child, who was due soon.
As a result, it is said that Mark made the decision to conceal all of his difficulties until the day of their child’s birth.
The actor said, “When I told Sunny about it, she thought I was joking.” This was his way of speaking about the time when he broke the news to his wife.
“And then she just broke down in tears and said, ‘I always knew you were going to die young,'” he continued.
The Poor Things star later disclosed in the interview that although he lived through the tumor, it had damaged his left ear’s capacity to hear.
Finally, he said that at first he was in shock about this loss, but that he subsequently said, “Take my hearing, but let me keep the face and just let me be.”
