The Instagram user @Ahsenetix posted a video to his more than 3,000 followers on the evening of October 12 with the caption, “I have just received the news that at Punjab College Campus 10 [in Lahore], the daughter of this nation was raped.”
According to the narrator, a security guard and a van driver attacked a student in the college’s basement after tricking him into remaining after hours. Then he accused the principal of using suspension threats to silence pupils.
He questioned, “Don’t you [students] have any self-respect?” and urged the audience to share the video on social media sites like TikTok.
@Ahsenetix was the first account to release an audio recording of the rape, according to research conducted by Media Matters for Democracy, a media development organization based in Islamabad, which confirmed this to News.
