The Barnier government will fall if the referendum passes, as predicted.
Barely ninety days ago, President Emmanuel Macron appointed Barnier, the former lead negotiator for EU Brexit, as prime minister.
Macron has stated that he still thinks the Barnier government can win the vote while he is in Saudi Arabia on a state visit. “The country’s interests are more important than those of the parties,” he stated.
However, Marine Le Pen’s far-right National Rally (RN) MPs and the left-wing coalition New Popular Front (NFP) have already said that they will vote against
