Actor Stanley Tucci is the inspiration for King Charles and Queen Camilla’s Italian-themed supper this evening, which will feature foods like crab, ravioli, and pig, as well as English and Italian wine.
The event serves as a culinary prelude to the royal couple’s state visit to Italy and the Vatican in early April, where they will meet Pope Francis. Among the attendees is Inigo Lambertini, the Italian ambassador to the UK.
The King informed dinner guests about his passion for Italian cuisine and culture, and the trip is anticipated to take place on Charles and Camilla’s 20th wedding anniversary.
“Good food brings people together and what we choose to eat helps to define us – as families, communities and nations,” the monarch stated.
