An International Monetary Fund (IMF) top official has emphasized that Pakistan should continue with the changes that have enabled it to obtain vital assistance from the lender.
According to a Ministry of Finance release, the event occurred during a high-level Pakistani delegation’s Tuesday meeting in Washington with Jihad Azour, the Director of the IMF’s Middle East and Central Asia Department.
The Pakistani delegation to the World Bank Group and IMF Annual Meetings, which are taking place in Washington, DC, from October 21–26, is being led by Federal Minister of Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb.
According to the ministry, other delegates include Governor Jameel Ahmad of the State Bank of Pakistan, Secretary of Economic Affairs Dr. Kazim Niaz, and Finance Secretary Imdad Ullah Bosal.
