The top officials of the member nations who will be present at the 23rd Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Islamabad, the country’s capital, on October 15–16 (Tuesday and Wednesday) have been named by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
China and Russia founded the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), an intergovernmental body. It focuses on security, defense, economic, and political problems in Eurasia.
Notably, the organization includes 16 other countries as “dialogue partners” or observers in addition to China, Russia, Pakistan, Iran, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Belarus.
The Council of Heads of States (CHS), which convenes once a year and makes decisions on all significant matters pertaining to the organization, is the highest decision-making body of the SCO.
