According to a Ukrainian minister, a deal between Kyiv and Washington on US access to Ukraine’s natural deposits is almost final.
The deputy prime minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration, Olga Stefanishyna, stated on X that “nearly all key details have been finalized, and negotiations have been very constructive.”
She stated that “we are committed to completing this swiftly to proceed with its signature” .
The US administration has been putting increasing pressure on Ukraine to sign the agreement, which has become the focal point of the widening gap between the presidents of the US and Ukraine.
In his so-called “victory plan” that he offered to Trump last September, Zelensky first included the offer of a mining agreement.
