PESHAWAR: Sheikh Waqas Akram, the information secretary for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), stated that if the government showed seriousness in the ongoing talks between the two parties, the party would think about rescinding its demand for civil disobedience, which is now on hold.
Speaking to News, Akram claimed that PTI founder Imran Khan had forbidden them from making any concessions on the party’s two main demands, which are the creation of a judicial commission to look into the May 9 riots and the November 26 incident, as well as the release of all political prisoners, including the imprisoned former prime minister.
Khan instructed him, Chairman Barrister Gohar, and Secretary General Salman Akram Raja to talk on international problems, the information secretary also disclosed.
