KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) stated that there is a possibility of nighttime rain even though scorching weather is predicted for the port city.
However, the Met Office predicts that Karachi’s weather will stay hot and muggy for the next 24 hours.
According to the meteorological department, the maximum temperature today is probably going to be in the range of 34°C to 36°C, while the lowest temperature recorded today was 30.5°C.
In addition, there is a 73% humidity level in the air and 21 kmph sea winds.
The provincial capital’s citizens have been longing for a respite from the intense heatwave that has recently befallen the city.
However, Karachi has only experienced a little drizzle thus far, which hasn’t done much to break the scorching wave.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz stated earlier this week that rain is expected in the metropolitan area after July 8.
The official’s comments coincided with the PMD’s forecast of “vigorous monsoon activity” in the upper and central regions this week due to powerful monsoon currents from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea.
