Three years after the notorious Oscar slap, Will Smith returned to the Grammy stage on February 2, 2025.
Will Smith paid a moving homage to his longtime friend Quincy Jones, who died in November 2024, during his Grammy appearance.
“This past year, we lost one of the most groundbreaking and influential figures of our times: Quincy Jones,” the 56-year-old rapper and superstar said in remembrance of the 28-time Grammy winner. Friends all over the world just call him Q.
“Q touched countless lives in his 91 years, but I have to say, he changed mine forever,” he continued. Without Quincy Jones, you most likely wouldn’t even be aware of Will Smith’s identity.
