KARACHI: The Green Shirts are still quite concerned about the leadership gap as Pakistan prepares for their upcoming white-ball trip of Australia.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) started looking for a new ODI and T20I skipper after Babar Azam formally resigned as captain of Pakistan’s white-ball team on October 2.
According to reports, seasoned wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan has surfaced as a possible contender to lead the national side in white-ball cricket.
Additionally, it was reported that a final agreement regarding captaincy had been reached between the cricket regulating body and the wicketkeeper.
A three-match ODI and T20I series against Australia beginning on November 4 will be Rizwan’s first task if he is appointed captain.
