News has learned that the company, which is majority owned by the three entrepreneurs who introduced it to the UK in 2018, has contacted Goldman Sachs to identify new owners.
According to city authorities, the sale was begun in response to unsolicited expressions of interest from possible bidders.
Goldman is believed to have been disclosing information on Wingstop UK, whose parent business is Lemon Pepper Holdings, to third parties in recent weeks.
This weekend, the business’s likely valuation was uncertain.
The offer is being introduced as Wingstop prepares to open its 50th location in the UK.
It plans to open 57 locations by the end of the year, leaving plenty of space for expansion even in a competitive sector.
According to sources, the corporation hoped it could eventually reach 400 to 500 venues in Britain.
Wingstop has also become one of the industry’s largest employers in the UK, employing over 2,200 people.
The chain has developed a cult following due to its diverse flavor offerings, which include Louisiana Rub and Mango Habanero.
