Gaza’s beaches are no longer accessible by day. After being displaced from their homes during the conflict, tens of thousands of people are now forced to live along the coast.
Their improvised, temporary homes have been battered by winter seas, which is a new form of attack they have faced recently.
Nothing is left in the tent; everything was gone, including the bread, beds, and blankets. According to Mohammed al-Halabi in Deir al-Balah, “the sea took it.”
“A two-month-old infant was dragged out to sea, and we saved him.”
Nine out of 10 people in shelters are in tents, according to the UN, and nearly all of Gaza’s 2.3 million residents are currently displaced.
As the weather drops, a lot of people are getting sick. There have been rainfall floods.
