KARACHI, QUETTA: With temperatures falling to 11 degrees Celsius, Karachiites, some of whom look forward to the city’s brief winters, are finally enjoying a cold wave.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Karachi’s minimum temperature is predicted to be between 10 and 12°C due to 36% humidity and northeasterly winds that are blowing at eight kilometers per hour.
The temperature dip comes after the Met Office warned last week that Sindh would see a “mild cold wave” with nighttime highs of 7-9°C.
However, with the province’s ongoing cold snap, temperatures in several parts of Balochistan have dropped below zero, so the city is not the only one dealing with shifting weather patterns.
