On Wednesday, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz officially launched the province’s first electric bus project, calling it a significant step toward a cutting-edge, environmentally responsible transportation system.
The chief minister claimed that whereas past administrations were tainted by political unrest and corruption, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has always placed a higher priority on development during the inaugural event in Lahore.
She said, “This is Punjab on the path of innovation,” and that the goal of having a clean and green province was finally coming true.
The starting fee for Lahore’s recently inaugurated electrobus service is Rs20, while the maximum fare is Rs35. Additionally, free travel for seniors, students, and those with impairments has been announced by the government.
