The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) “rejected the formula” put forth by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), according to sources who spoke to News, forcing the postponement of a crucial meeting of the International Cricket Council (ICC) that was supposed to take place today (Wednesday) to discuss hosting the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan.
According to the sources, India’s lack of response to Pakistan’s suggested resolution to the issue caused the conference to be postponed. The new date of the meeting is December 7.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Dubai this morning with great expectations for the important meeting, which was supposed to debate the tournament’s future. The tournament is slated to take place in Pakistan in February and March of 2025.
