A former staffer has now revealed the Christmas plans for this year at both Buckingham and Kengsington Palace.
In an interview, Grant Harrold, a former royal butler, said these things on behalf of Slingo.
“I’m guessing that both Charles and Catherine knew things weren’t quite right, so this year will be different for the royal family from last year,” he said.
Charles and Kate spent the majority of the year receiving treatment, so even though “they would’ve put on a brave face,” there would have been some worry because they didn’t know what the future held.
