The only South Asian film festival in the world to qualify for the Oscars, the Tasveer Film Market in Seattle, has announced two new projects that would put Fawad Khan back in the spotlight. According to Variety, Khan will be pursuing his interests in criminal thrillers and dark comedies with these projects.
The actress will work with a formidable creative team on the dark comedy Behind the Scenes, which takes place in the competitive world of a journalist. Film Lab++’s Bilal Sami, Raza Namazi, and Suri Gopalan are working on the film, with Khan playing a key role. Mohammed Ali Naqvi, the head of Modoxy Media, will become an executive producer.
Famous faces behind the camera include Sarmad Khoosat of Kamli fame, Mehreen Jabbar of Jackson Heights, and Naqvi of Insha’Allah Democracy, guaranteeing a strong mix of storytelling talent.
