ISLAMABAD: According to Pakistan, the Syrian people have the right to decide their own future and their own course in life, and no outside influence or pressure should dictate this.
Given the current state of affairs in Syria following the overthrow of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad by rebels led by the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) group and its allies, which marked a dramatic end to the five-decade rule, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch made these remarks.
Mohammed al-Bashir led an interim government until March, when Sharaa’s soldiers overthrew Assad and took control of Syria.
“We are worried about the increase of violence and are keeping an eye on events in Syria. We wholeheartedly endorse territorial integrity, unity, and sovereignty.
