SLAMABAD: A group of women were allegedly beaten and robbed of Rs. 2 million in cash and 10 tons of gold jewelry during a mugging incident outside of F-9 Park, Islamabad, next to a popular fast-food restaurant.
The attackers are seen physically abusing the women, dragging them by their hair, and exposing them to brutality while traveling, according to footage of the incident that has surfaced.
Social media users are outraged by the unsettling footage, which has raised questions about public safety in the capital.
The FIR filed at Margalla Police Station in response to a victim’s complaint states that on February 23, the women were apprehended by the principal suspect, Jamal, and his associates.
After then, the suspects attacked them and seized their gold jewelry by force.
