The fifth training batch of the Women’s Vocational Training Center in Miranshah, North Waziristan, has just ended. 104 female students received degrees from the institute, which was run by the Pakistan Army, after completing a six-month training program.
Traditional crafts like knitting, sewing, and needlework were taught in addition to contemporary computer sciences via the DigiSkills platform. The graduates not only acquired modern academic skills but also started earning money online, serving as role models for other women in the area.
Attendees expressed appreciation for the student’s exhibition of handcrafted artwork, which demonstrated their newly gained talents.
Every graduate received a sewing machine in addition to their TEVTA certificate. Students in computer classes were given computers, and extra certificates were given by DigiSkills.
