According to figures released on Monday by the State Bank of Pakistan, worker remittances rose 33.6% in the first five months of the current fiscal year compared to the same period previous year.
In comparison to the $11.1 billion received in July-November 2023-24, the remittances from July to November 2024-25 totaled $14.8 billion.
In comparison to the same month previous year, workers’ remittances in November 2024 showed an influx of US$ 2.9 billion, representing a 29.1% improvement.
Saudi Arabia ($729.2 million), the United Arab Emirates ($619.4 million), the United Kingdom ($409.9 million), and the United States of America ($288.2 million) accounted for the majority of remittance inflows in November 2024.
