The crowd burst into belly laughs on the 12th day of the World Culture Festival, which is taking place in all its creative splendor at the Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP) in Karachi. Rayyan Khan’s superb dramedy “Suicide Incorporated” had the audience rolling in the aisles.
The play, which is in Urdu and was performed on Monday at APC’s Studio 2, is a satirical comedy about opportunism and the illusive idea of atonement. Its razor-sharp wit could raise the dead, it was that funny.
The protagonist of the play is Jaffar, a man going through a difficult week at work.
