During the hearing of a contempt of court case concerning Mishal Yousafzai’s denial of entry at Adiala Jail, Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) made forceful statements.
He asked the Deputy Registrar of IHC, “Whose orders led to the cancellation of the reason list? Before doing so, would you have blown up my court?
When Deputy Registrar Judicial Sultan Mahmood came in court, he said the Chief Justice’s office had ordered the cancellation.
He had previously been called by Justice Ishaq to move the case to a different bench.
