Xander Schauffele won his first major on Sunday at the PGA Championship, and it was a hectic day for his family.
As Schauffele’s six-footer lipped in for the win—aa miss would have required a playoff with Bryson DeChambeau—hhe raised his arms in the air, appearing to sigh with relief.
Maya, his wife, experienced the exact opposite.
“This means everything,” an emotional Maya stated. “Everything he’s worked so hard for just goes to demonstrate that putting in the effort pays off. He deserved it more than anything. Why am I saying that? I’ve witnessed his dedication, hard work, and long hours. There is never an off-week.
Xander Schauffele’s wife claims she was ‘blacking out’ while celebrating her husband’s PGA Championship victory.
