Yasir Bashir, a Pakistan Army soldier, accepted martyrdom while fighting extremist forces in Balochistan’s counterterrorism operations. The militants who were attacking suffered heavy losses as a result of the security action.
Multan native Bashir was one of several staff members who resisted the assailants. According to military officials, the operation effectively prevented attempts to jeopardize regional national security.
The relatives of the fallen soldier shared their thoughts on his martyrdom. After finishing school, Yasir had followed his dream of joining the military, according to his father. “He was passionate about serving in the military,” his father said.
The mother of the soldier was proud of what her son had given up in battle. Similar determination was shown by his wife, who declared that she would be prepared to sacrifice their daughter’s life for national service if necessary.
