The first contract that Argentine striker and internationally recognized football player Lionel Messi signed with Barcelona on December 14, 2000, is set to go up for sale in March with a whooping 350,000 euros on the line.
When the football player was 13 years old, the first version of the contract was written out on a napkin, and it persuaded the Catalan football club’s executives to give him a position at such a young age.
The contract of Lionel Messi will be put up for auction by London-based Bonhams.
The reports stated that Argentine player agent Horacio Gaggioli would auction the deal.The 13-year-old’s two-week trial with Barcelona in September 2000 impressed the observers, but the club was reluctant to sign the fresh young youngster.
