The 49-year-old Maleficent actress acknowledged that she had the eye surgery because she was concerned about how wearing glasses might affect her Hollywood acting career. In particular, she might have struggled to read her lines from a script and see when she was on stage.
“One thing that very few people know about me is that I’m short-sighted, so when I was young I wore glasses and then I had laser surgery,” Jolie said in an interview with Vogue Mexico.
