With his altered appearance, Zac Efron’s return in the most recent romantic comedy, A Family Affair, has drawn criticism.
The High School Musical actor noticed that he might appear slightly different these days, and he believes that this is due to a previous jaw injury.
In a meta scenario, the actor’s movie star persona responds to the rumors regarding his face change.
“Well, I had surgery,” he stated. Right there, beneath my chin. I tumbled onto some shattered glass on the set.
Previously, in 2022, Efron revealed to Men’s Health that he had been sprinting about his house in his socks when he slipped and hit his chin on the granite corner of the fountain.
The actor’s jaw had to be wired shut as a result of his chin bone “hanging off his face”.
When his face abruptly changed and became noticeable, maybe around 2021, there were rumors that he had plastic surgery.
He admitted to the publication that, until his own mother inquired about his jaw, he was unaware of the rumors. That same year, Efron revealed to Entertainment Tonight that he “almost died” as a result of breaking his jaw.
