The revelations coincide with Zainab’s recovery from a nearly deadly shooting which occurred in the posh DHA neighborhood of Lahore last month.
Unidentified attackers ambushed and shot Zainab on May 22, seriously injuring her. In relation to the matter, Zainab’s husband obtained bail, and the police filed a report against two unidentified people.
The top suspects are still at large despite Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s orders for prompt action.
Zainab has been open about her pain in interviews while she receives intensive medical attention for several bullet wounds.

She described a horrifying story of domestic abuse, blaming her husband’s second wife, whom she claimed encouraged him to beat her, for a large portion of her misery.
Zainab revealed that her husband, who was swayed by his second wife, had physically and psychologically abused her.
Zainab claimed, “She provoked him, saying my being on Instagram was improper and that it would set a bad example for other women in the family.”
Even if at first I disregarded his warnings, things became worse and ended up with serious limitations and costs.
Zainab described an April 2024 event in which she informed the Lahore police of her husband’s threats and physical abuse. But money allegedly had an impact on the case’s dismissal.
