Zayn Malik says of the song, “I love it and have brought some of myself to it,”
Zayn Malik, a British celebrity who is well-known for his beautiful English vocals, recently put his singing skills to the test by crooning an Urdu love song, and it looks like the fans are loving it.
Working together, Zayn and the Pakistani band “Aur” created a remake of their well-known song “Tu Hai Kahan,” which has received over 95 million views on YouTube.
But since the song has gotten over 3.5 million views on the video-sharing website, fans have also given the remake a lot of appreciation.
The 31-year-old, a former member of the well-known boy band One Direction, shared his thoughts about his experience singing Urdu lyrics with the BBC in an interview. He said he loved the song and hoped that fans would love the collaboration since he gave the performance a personal touch.
Zayn’s vocals in Urdu have been heard before. The British singer, who gained popularity through One Direction after competing on the British TV music competition “The X Factor” in 2010, has previously included Urdu lyrics in his track “Tightrope” from his 2021 album “Nobody is Listening.”
The British singer, who was born and raised in Bradford, has Pakistani ancestry because his father immigrated to the UK from the South Asian country, so the collaboration cannot be described as surprising.
The fans’ response to Zayn’s partnership with the Pakistani band was as follows.
“Zayn’s collaboration with these young people and the increased popularity of their song beyond its initial level is a commendable act. A fan said, “Zayn’s collaboration gave it those extra wings and wind.”
Another called the song a “masterpiece” and expressed gratitude to the British musician for supporting the gifted Pakistani musicians.
One user commented, “This collab is going to be my comfort song for a long time,” on X.
“Zayn fans will always treasure this song. Another person said, “We sincerely thank you all for making this happen.
But some fans were “shocked” by Zayn’s ability to sing Urdu lyrics so beautifully.
A user remarked on the song, calling it “one of the best and unexpected collaborations ever […] truly a masterpiece.”
In response to the overwhelming love from the supporters, Zayn tweeted, “Big love […] thanks for all the support.”
The band Zayn and Aur, which consists of Ahad, Usama, and Raffey, collaborates because they feel that music knows no bounds, and the song embodies this idea throughout.
The band declared that they were bringing Pakistani music to a global audience and that they “can’t wait for the world to vibe to their music” in response to their sudden fame and the overwhelmingly positive responses they received from fans.
