In response to harsh remarks made by the US president regarding Zelensky’s popularity rating, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed on Wednesday that Donald Trump was living in a Russian “disinformation” bubble.
In addition, the Ukrainian leader claimed he demanded security assurances from Kyiv’s allies that may allow the war to finish this year and accused Washington of aiding in the lifting of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s international isolation.
Zelensky accused Moscow of deceiving Trump: “Unfortunately, President Trump, for whom we have great respect as leader of the American people… lives in this disinformation space,” he told reporters in Kyiv.
Trump claimed Zelensky was “down at 4% approval rating” and called for presidential elections in Ukraine, which are prohibited by martial law.
According to Zelensky, the figure “comes from Russia”.
