The presenter on Radio praised her mother, Julia Peckham, saying, “Your grace & your smile that lit up every room you were in will light the stars to guide us.” She also thanked her mother for “teaching us how to love unconditionally.”
Ball, 53, posted the news of her mother’s passing on social media along with a photo of the younger Ball with the message, “Sleep tight, dear Mama.”
Ball had declared in early March that her mother had received a “heartbreaking” prognosis and that, despite the “extremely tough” moment, “mum is being incredibly brave”.
In the weeks that followed, Gaby Roslin would “occasionally” take her place on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, the host revealed at the time.
